Delete My Account

We respect your right to control your personal data. If you would like to permanently delete your me-n-u account and the personal information associated with it, this page explains exactly how to make that request, what data will be removed, and what happens next.

This action is permanent

Deleting your account cannot be undone. Once your request is processed, your profile, matches, reservation history, and all associated personal data will be permanently removed from our systems. The only information we retain is your email address, so that we can welcome you back if you ever choose to return. See the full breakdown below.

How to request account deletion

You can submit a deletion request in two ways: directly from within the app, or by emailing us. Both options are fully supported and will result in the same outcome.

Option A — Delete from inside the app

Open the me-n-u app and sign in to your account. Tap your profile icon in the top right corner, then go to Settings. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete My Account. Confirm your decision when prompted. Your deletion request will be submitted automatically and you will receive a confirmation email at the address associated with your account.

Option B — Submit a request by email

If you are unable to access the app, send an email to info@me-n-uapp.com with the subject line Account Deletion Request. Include the email address associated with your me-n-u account in the body of the email. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.

Receive your confirmation

Once we receive your request, we will send a confirmation email acknowledging it. Your account will be deactivated immediately and all data (except your email address) will be permanently deleted within 30 days. You will receive a final confirmation email when the deletion is complete.

What happens to your data

Here is a complete breakdown of every type of data associated with your me-n-u account, and what happens to each when your deletion request is processed.

  • Any biometric data associated with your profile
  • Social sign-in tokens (Google or Microsoft)
  • All in-app preferences and settings
Retained Kept
  • Your email address only
Why we keep your email: We retain your email address solely so that we can recognize you and restore access to the app if you ever decide to return. Your email is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for marketing after your account is deleted. It is stored securely and is the only piece of information kept on file.

Additional retention periods

Certain records may be retained beyond the 30 day deletion window where required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

Payment records are retained for up to 7 years as required by applicable tax and financial regulations. These records are held by our payment processor, Stripe, and do not include your full card number or CVV.

Reservation records involving completed transactions may be retained for up to 3 years for tax compliance and legal dispute purposes.

Safety and moderation records relating to reports of prohibited conduct may be retained for up to 2 years to protect the safety of our community and support any related legal proceedings.

None of the above retained records will be used to rebuild your profile, serve you advertising, or identify you on the platform.

Deletion timeline

Here is what to expect after you submit your request.

Immediately

Your account is deactivated. You will no longer appear in discovery, your profile will not be visible to other users, and you will not be able to log in.

Within 24 hours

You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging your deletion request. Your matches will no longer be able to see your profile or send you messages.

Within 30 days

All personal data listed in the Permanently Deleted column above is removed from our active systems and databases. You will receive a final confirmation email when this is complete.

Backup systems

Residual copies in encrypted backup systems are purged on a rolling basis within 90 days of the deletion date, in accordance with our standard backup retention schedule.

We aim to acknowledge all requests within 2 business days and complete all deletions within 30 days. If your request is complex or involves a legal matter, we may contact you for additional verification before proceeding.
